"A picture is worth a thousand words."
SO TRUE! It is especially true when working with middle school students. Every year, I would have my students complete a multiple intelligences survey. I was always shocked to see that 70-80% of my students were VISUAL learners. This data drastically changed how I taught. I began to look everywhere for ways that I could connect my instruction to the ways they learned. I was amazed to see how much more they connected with the content and were more deeply engaged.
Try it out:
Go to the Content Trailer website. Browse the content trailers to find something useful for your grade level/content area. Find a trailer you can use to enhance your instruction and engage your students. In the comments below discuss:
1) Which trailer did you choose?
2) How? When would you use it? With which students?
3) What impact do you think it would make? How would it benefit your students?
